Shenzhen Railway Station project is located in Luohu District, Shenzhen city, Guangdong Province, adjacent to Luohu port and separated from Hong Kong by a bridge. It is under the jurisdiction of Guangzhou Railway (Group) Company, and is the southern starting point of Guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway. With guangzhou-Shenzhen Railway connecting Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and Beijing-Kowloon Railway in the north and Hong Kong Kowloon-Guangzhou Railway in the south, it is an important hub connecting the mainland with Hong Kong and Macao as well as China and the world. The project began reconstruction in June 1990 and was put into use in October 1991. After reconstruction, it has 4 platforms (platform 6) and 8 lanes, covering a floor area of 90,000 square meters. There are many trains running between Shenzhen and major cities in China every day.
